1. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions:

• "Company" refers to VoltEdge Electrical Ltd., its employees, subcontractors, and agents.
• "Customer" refers to the individual or organisation requesting or receiving services.
• "Works" refers to any electrical installation, repair, inspection, or related service carried out by the Company.
• "Quote" refers to a written estimate provided by the Company prior to the commencement of Works.

2. Quotes & Estimates

All quotes provided by VoltEdge Electrical are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. A quote is not a binding contract until accepted in writing (email acceptance is sufficient) by the Customer.

Quotes are based on the information available at the time of assessment. If unforeseen complications arise during the Works (e.g. concealed wiring, asbestos, structural issues), the Company reserves the right to issue a revised quote. Work will not proceed beyond the additional scope without Customer approval.

3. Commencement & Completion of Works

Start dates are agreed upon booking confirmation. While we make every effort to adhere to scheduled dates, the Company cannot be held liable for delays caused by factors outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to: adverse weather, supplier delays, or access issues at the property.

Upon completion of the Works, the Customer will be notified and an opportunity provided to inspect the work before sign-off. Any concerns must be raised at this point or in writing within 48 hours of completion.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

• Provide safe and unobstructed access to the property at agreed times
• Ensure all areas where work is to be carried out are cleared of personal belongings
• Disclose any known hazards (e.g. asbestos, damp, structural damage) prior to commencement
• Ensure that any third-party permissions or landlord approvals required are obtained in advance
• Not modify, interfere with, or instruct others to interfere with any work in progress

5. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• A deposit of up to 30% of the quoted value may be required prior to commencement of Works on larger projects.
• For smaller jobs (under £500 / equivalent), full payment is due upon completion.
• Invoices are due within 14 days of the invoice date.
• Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 2% above the Bank of England base rate per month.
• The Company reserves the right to suspend or withhold services pending outstanding payments.

6. Workmanship Guarantee

VoltEdge Electrical provides a 2-year workmanship guarantee on all completed Works. This guarantee covers defects arising directly from the quality of our installation or repair work. It does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, modification, or interference by the Customer or third parties
• Normal wear and tear of components and materials
• Faults in materials or equipment supplied by the Customer
• Damage caused by external factors such as flooding, fire, or power surges

Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment are separate from and additional to our workmanship guarantee.

7. Materials & Equipment

Unless otherwise agreed, all materials and equipment used in the Works will be sourced and supplied by the Company. Materials remain the property of VoltEdge Electrical until full payment has been received. The Company will endeavour to use materials of equivalent or better specification to those quoted; any significant substitution will be notified to the Customer in advance.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Company's total liability to the Customer, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall not exceed the total value of the Works as invoiced. The Company is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential losses
• Loss of profit or business
• Pre-existing faults or defects not caused by the Company
• Damage resulting from the Customer's failure to follow our instructions or advice

Nothing in these Terms limits the Company's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

9. Insurance

VoltEdge Electrical holds public liability insurance with a minimum coverage of £2,000,000 per incident. Details of our insurance coverage are available upon request.

10. Cancellation

The Customer may cancel a confirmed booking with at least 48 hours' notice without charge. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the quoted value to cover mobilisation costs. Any deposit paid is non-refundable if work has already commenced.

11. Complaints

We take every complaint seriously and aim to resolve issues promptly. If you are dissatisfied with our service, please contact us in writing at hello@voltedge.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to provide a resolution within 10 business days.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which VoltEdge Electrical is registered. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

13. Changes to These Terms

VoltEdge Electrical reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on this page. The version in effect at the time a quote is accepted shall apply to the associated Works.
